DEFECTED CROATIA 2016 // EXPERIENCE 5 DAYS OF HOUSE HEDONISM THIS SUMMER

Taking place at the festival location in Croatia, backed by a refreshingly unique line-up of DJs, spinning the most eclectic selection of house music - our inaugural Defected Croatia is all systems go. From the main / beach stages, through to special boat parties and the incredible Barbarella’s nightclub, we want to give you an escape from reality and provide house lovers with a festival like you have never experienced before. We are proud to present our full programme for the five-day event, which sees us join forces with many of our long-term partners and friends of the label…

You need only walk a short distance from on-site accommodation or the nearby town of Tisno to get your daily fix of fun and house music. Whether you want to party in the warm, refreshing waters, kick-back on the clean pebble beach or dance by the water's edge – there is something for everyone at the Beach Stage. You will be able to indulge in sets from FCL, Atjazz, Karizma, Black Motion, Joeski, Adam Port and countless others across the week, with our partners Soul Heaven, Point Blank and Soundwall presents Keinemusik hosting this ever-transforming waterside dancefloor.

A moment's walk from the beachside area lies the even more impressive main stage and its sizeable open air dancefloor. Again, spectacularly lit, this will be the performance area for some of the dance world’s biggest acts such as Basement Jaxx, Dennis Ferrer, Kenny Dope and Roger Sanchez. Accompanying these legends is a selection of the freshest, most forward-thinking names in house music today - including Lee Walker, Josh Butler and Sonny Fodera.

On the opposite side of the bay, two minutes’ walk from the beachside stage, lies a jetty from which the Argonauty boat sails twice daily, transporting festival goers round a thrilling tour of neighbouring islands, each trip soundtracked by specially curated line-ups. Lasting between 4 or 6 hours, these 10 boat parties (twice-a-day) are smile inducing, hosted by hand selected friends of the label – from the Osunlade-owned Yoruba Records to Belgian club La Rocca, and our very own Glitterbox to Jimpster’s legendary Freerange Records.

The final performance area is the stunning outdoor club Barbarella's, located in a countryside area, 10 minutes’ drive by car from the main site. Regular coaches or taxis spirit festival goers the short ride to (and from) this much-loved afterhours spot which has, in recent years, been voted one of Europe's best clubs. Each night we will be there til dawn, providing a welcomed change from Ibiza with this unique open-air clubbing experience. Though tired from a full day's partying, the urge to dance until the last record is inescapable in this very special space, especially when you will find the likes of Guti, Noir, Kings of Tomorrow, Honey Dijon and plenty of others playing records into the early hours of the morning.
